  1. I’m confused! I understood you to be the author of “God’s Story”, but the pic on Amazon doesn’t look at all like you here! If it’s you………….. I want to say that i have bought an untold number of them secondhand from different suppliers, and given them away. I have one, and each of my sons’ families have one: I’ve used it for my own devotions. And I’m a vicar! But most of them I’ve given to adults who are new to faith or struggling to engage with the Bible. Even our postman got one, because he was so intrigued by the number of books he had to deliver at one time in the space of a week: I’d over-ordered, so I gave him one! I think it’s absolutely fabulous (except I don’t understand why you called it an “Ark Box”, which seems tautological: why not “Promise Box” or something?), and I love it. CAN’T WE HAVE A REPRINT? Eventually, I WILL drain the world of second-hand copies! Which reminds me – I don’t have a spare at the moment, so should get another…… note to self…. I enjoy your other writing too: my son introduced me to it.

  2. When I was a little girl, my parents bought my sister and I the “My First Hymnal”. I am in South Africa and there is absolutely no stock of it. Would love to gift it to my young 2 children now that they are at the age where they can sing along and soon, read. I grew up with it and would love them to grow up with it too. Please let me know where I can get a copy

  3. Hi, Sherlene,

The South African version was produced by a South African publisher around 1996. That product has been out of stock for a long time. I suggest you look for used book sites in South Africa.

    All the best,
