Featured Folder: “I Say Thank-You”


Saying thank you is one of the first manners a young child is taught. A young child is very dependent, so people constantly do things for him and give things to him. And they try to train him to appreciate their efforts by having him say thank you. Teach young children that God wants us to say thank you to others and to God.

Theme Scripture: “Give thanks to the Lord” I Chronicles 16:8 (ICB)

Unit Goals: By the end of this unit, the child should
– Know that God wants him to say thank-you.
– Want to say thank-you to God and others.
– Say thank-you when someone has done something for him.
